Want to learn how to write safety data sheets in a live streaming classroom?

This brand new live streaming training class (6 hours total – split into three sessions) is perfect for anyone who wishes to avoid the current problems and cost of travelling but wants something more substantial than a webinar or eLearning course.

Broken down into three separate 2-hour sessions which are run over three consecutive days, this live streaming class provides a thorough introduction into the writing of compliant (and useful) Safety Data Sheets. It is also useful if you simply want to refresh existing skills.

Although the main focus will be on EU compliant SDS, the material will also be applicable to GHS compliant SDS.

Small group sizes and live discussions

In order to ensure optimal involvement/interaction between the trainer and delegates, there will be only a limited number of places available for each course.

Furthermore, all delegates are encouraged where possible, to use a headset/microphone so they can interact (i.e. ask/answer questions) with the other delegates and trainer.

What will be covered during the live streaming class

Session One (2 hours)

This provides an overview of SDS requirements and responsibilities. The session then provides an in-depth look at the individual requirements  Sections 1 to 6 respectively, including where to find useful data.

During the session, a review of relevant SDS and group exercises will be used to help reinforce the learning.

Session Two ( 2 hours)

This focuses on the three ‘key’ sections of the SDS. That is Section 9 -Physical and Chemical Properties, Section 11 – Toxicological Information and Section 12 -Ecological Information.

This includes a definition of the terminology, its significance and importantly, how to interpret and apply this data to other sections of the SDS.

During the session, a review of relevant SDS and group exercises will be used to help reinforce the learning.

Session Three (2 hours)

This continues with an in-depth look at the individual requirements of Sections 7, 8,10 and 13 to 16 respectively. It concludes with a useful approach that can be used when authoring a Safety Data Sheet, and tips which can be used to help improve its overall consistency and usefulness.

During the session, a review of relevant SDS and group exercises will be used to help reinforce the learning.
