What is a Webinar?

A Webinar is a way in which a training course for example, can be transmitted from the trainer’s computer over the Internet to the recipient: like to a virtual classroom!

How do these webinars work?

Upon registration you will receive log in details which enable you to access the webinar at the scheduled time and date. Once you have logged in you will be placed in a virtual “waiting room” until the session commences. When the session starts you will be able to see the presentation, hear the trainer and, in this case be able to interact with the trainer as well as other attendees; like to a virtual classroom.

All you need is a computer with access to the Internet and either the use of built in speakers/microphone in your computer or a telephone to dial into the webinar (at the cost of a local phone call).

What is the benefit of attending a webinar style training course rather than a traditional “attendance” styled training?

Webinar style training is different to the more traditional styled attendance training in that you can attend remotely; which saves time and money with travelling and lost working days.

it is a  much more condensed version of a standard one day “attendance” styled training course, enabling a lot of material to be covered in a shorter time period.

Each Webinar lasts approximately 90 minutes during which time attendees are able to ask questions at any time (either verbally or by typing the question).

Each Webinar attendee receives a copy of the slides together with a training manual which covers the material that is covered during the session. This essentially provides more “meat to the bones”. In addition attendees are free to contact the trainer at any time after the session with any questions or queries, etc.
